INVISALIGN® - THE ALMOST INVISIBLE BRACES

Invisalign® is an almost invisible, removable brace that fits perfectly into your everyday life. The Lieblingszah practice is your expert for Invisalign in Karlsruhe.

INVISALIGN® Karlsruhe

Invisalign® offers an inconspicuous, removable alternative to conventional fixed braces.

Instead of metal brackets, transparent, individually manufactured aligners are used during treatment. There is a special version for young patients: Invisalign Teen.

The aligners can be easily removed for meals, dental care or special occasions. The use of dental floss remains possible. Depending on the scope of treatment, around 5 to 50 customized aligners are usually used.

By successively replacing the individual splints, the teeth move week by week into the final position planned by the orthodontist in Cologne.

In short: Invisalign® is particularly suitable for small to medium corrections, but can also treat more complex malocclusions with good cooperation. In terms of wearing comfort and hygiene options, the removable solution has advantages over fixed appliances.

If you would like to know whether Invisalign® is suitable for you, arrange a consultation or examination in our practice: by telephone on 0721 670226 or online. We, your team at Lieblingszahn, look forward to welcoming you in person.

Invisalign® Easy handling

The virtually invisible aligners are made of a stable thermoplastic material. The aligners are custom-made for you so that they fit your teeth exactly.

Invisalign® treatment duration

Invisalign® trays should be worn for 22 hours a day if possible. The longer you wear the Invisalign® trays, the better and quicker the success of the treatment will be visible. The Invisalign® aligners should be removed when eating.

The average treatment duration of Invisalign® is 6 months to 1 year

Invisalign® treatment procedure

Step by step to your beautiful smile

Invisalign® planning

The first step is to take a digital impression of your teeth using an intraoral scanner with visible light. The resulting digital models are scanned and virtually corrected in the computer to the ideal position of your teeth.

Virtual treatment simulation

A detailed treatment plan for your Invisalign treatment is drawn up using the virtual 3D planning software. The ClinCheck shows the planned sequence of tooth movements during the course of treatment - so we can see how your teeth should look at the end of Invisalign treatment even before treatment begins.

Invisalign - Aligner

You will receive a series of new Invisalign aligners approximately every 2-3 months until the desired tooth position is achieved. You change the Invisalign® aligners every 5-14 days. We will specify the interval for changing the aligners. You do not have to come to our practice in Cologne for every pair of Invisalign aligners.

What are the Invisalign® aligners made of?

The virtually invisible aligners are made of a stable thermoplastic material that is approved for medical use and was specially developed for the Invisalign® system.

Orthodontic correction is affordable for everyone.

Orthodontic correction can incur very different costs, depending on the individual complexity. The cost of treatment with Invisalign® aligners is usually between 4,000 and 6,500 euros. This range can be exceeded for very short or extremely long treatments. Compared to other non-invasive correction methods, Invisalign® is usually less expensive.

At the Lieblingszahn practice, patients receive individual and non-binding advice and, if desired, an individual financing concept (e.g. financing with interest-free installments).

Frequently asked questions about INVISALIGN®

  • The principle of the two treatment methods is basically identical. The treatment exerts pressure on the teeth and tooth roots, allowing them to be moved. The position of the teeth can be changed at will, so that the desired result can be achieved with a little patience. The difference between the two treatments lies in their comfort and suitability for everyday use. Invisalign® aligners are transparent and completely inconspicuous in everyday life. They are also very easy to remove.

  • The treatment period ultimately depends on the severity of the malocclusion to be corrected. You will have to wear several splints during the course of treatment. These are changed on average every two weeks and move the affected teeth by 0.2 mm or rotate them by one degree. The therapy can sometimes take several years - but the results are permanent and guaranteed.

A few splints are sufficient for slight misalignments. The therapy is therefore completed after just a few months. Complex misalignments, however, require long-term treatment. Nevertheless, treatment with Invisalign® is shorter than conventional orthodontic treatment with braces.

After the initial diagnosis, it is possible to say approximately how long the therapy will take. It is not possible to give exact times, as every person has different requirements. It is always possible that the treatment will have to be extended by a few splints in order to achieve a perfect result.

  • Invisalign® therapy is not one of the standard services covered by statutory health insurance. It is therefore not guaranteed that your health insurance company will cover the costs. For this reason, we recommend that you contact your health insurance provider before treatment to clarify whether the costs will be covered. As a general rule, statutory health insurance companies do not cover the costs of orthodontic treatment for adults. Private health insurance companies usually cover the costs of Invisalign® treatment. The exact price of the treatment depends on the individual treatment plan, the number of plastic aligners required for the treatment, the duration of the treatment and the degree of difficulty of the tooth movements. You will receive a detailed cost estimate before the start of treatment. The cost of treatment with Invisalign® aligners is usually between 4,000 and 6,500 euros. This range can be exceeded for very short or extremely long treatments. Compared to other non-invasive correction methods, Invisalign® is usually less expensive.

  • The advantages of the Invisalign® treatment are the gentle procedure and the almost invisible, transparent plastic aligners, which are hardly disturbing in everyday life and yet lead to a very effective treatment of the respective malocclusion in adolescents and adults. The treatment method is one of the most modern procedures in orthodontics and ensures comfortable, gentle and flexible treatment that is tailored to the patient's needs. Dr. Pascal Schumacher and you can always discuss and track the course and duration of treatment with the help of your individual Invisalign® treatment plan. This ensures continuous adjustment and successful treatment.

10 things you should know about Invisalign®

  • Orthodontic corrections are possible at any age. While traditional braces are generally used in children and adolescents, modern braces with Invisalign® are particularly suitable for treatment in adults. Thanks to their design, they are almost unnoticeable in everyday life and can be used very flexibly. Working people in particular benefit from this flexibility during their orthodontic treatment.

    • If you wear conventional fixed braces, you have to avoid certain foods in order to prevent the appliance from coming off or slipping and thus delaying the treatment process. If the misaligned teeth are corrected with Invisalign®, this is not necessary. As the aligners can be removed before eating, any food can be consumed without hesitation. Cleaning your teeth does not require any additional effort either.

  • The company behind the technology, Align Technologie, has been in existence since 1997 and more than five million patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign aligners to date. The treatment method is tried and tested and has proven its effectiveness and practical benefits over the past 20 years. This means that patients in particular benefit from the wealth of experience.

  • Before treatment with aligners begins, a detailed examination of the misaligned teeth is carried out. X-rays, photos and dental impressions are taken as part of this examination. At the Lieblingszahn practice, a 3D scanner is used for digital, detailed planning. Thisensures the basis for a perfectand effective fit of the splints. With the help of the images taken, individual aligners are planned and manufactured in detail for the patient, allowing the respective malocclusion to be corrected comfortably and gently.

  • As part of Invisalign® treatment, regular progress checks are carried out by the treating orthodontist. These regular examinations serve to check the gradual success of the treatment and enable adjustments to be made if deviations in the planned development are detected. The check-up intervals included in the treatment costs are determined individually by the treating orthodontist in order to recognize deviations from the planned course in good time. As a rule, the patient visits the practice every 8 to 12 weeks.

  • The individual aligners (= splints) are usually worn for one to two weeks. However, the individual wearing time can vary during the course of treatment, depending on the individual reaction. The patient receives the required number of aligners, which they then change themselves at the intervals specified by the doctor. This allows the patient to observe the successful tooth corrections step by step.

  • While minor misalignments can be corrected within around six months, treatment for larger misalignments can take up to 1.5 years. In principle, the duration of treatment is similar to that of conventional orthodontic treatment, and tends to be even faster.

  • If slight pain occurs at the beginning of treatment, this is no cause for concern. As with conventional orthodontic treatment, a certain period of adjustment is normal for treatment with Invisalign®. Due to the low and precisely planned forces in the individual aligners, patients no longer feel any pressure after a short time and can wear the aligners without any restrictions.

  • If you want to achieve optimum results, you should wear the aligners for around 22 hours a day. The aligners should only be removed for brushing teeth and eating. A shorter wearing time can also be agreed on a case-by-case basis, if this is deemed appropriate from a medical point of view.

  • Some people have gaps between their teeth and are unhappy with them. They avoid laughing carefree and try to hide their teeth. Tooth gaps can be easily eliminated with orthodontic treatment. Invisalign® is particularly suitable for the effective treatment of such gaps between teeth. But it is not only wide gaps that can be harmoniously corrected, other annoying misalignments of the teeth can also be successfully eliminated.

At the Lieblingszahn orthodontic practice in Karlsruhe, you can expect a competent and detailed consultation.
